Infrastructure

Our equipment includes traditional  (both rotational and capillary) rheometers, and several techniques to measure elongational properties of low viscous liquids as well as highly viscous polymer melts. We also have a range of instruments to measure the interfacial rheology and the dynamics of structures at an interface. Powder flowability indexes can be obtained using various techniques. A wide range of setups to characterize the flow-induced microstructure, including microscopic techniques, light scattering and rheo-optical methods are available, as well as equipment for processing of polymers (e.g. extruders) and dispersions (e.g. ultrasonic probes, mixers, centrifuges,...). A 3D printing platform is present based on FDM, SLS as well as SLA techniques.
