About us...
The Department of Chemical Engineering of the KULeuven is the largest research department in Belgium in the field of chemical technology. It consists of 3 research divisions, 7 full-time professors, 5 part-time professors and about 50 researchers.

On the "About" page, you can find a welcoming word from the department head, more information on the department structure, personnel and how to reach us.
Education
The Department of Chemical Engineering is responsible for the education of future bachelors and masters in chemical engineering and doctors in Applied Sciences, specialisation Chemistry. Other than that, the Department organises the complementary studies for Environmental Engineering and is actively involved in the Master in Polymer and Composites Engineering programme.

Research
The Department of Chemical Engineering consists of the following research groups:
  • Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology and Control
  • Applied Rheology and Polymer Processing
  • Applied Physical Chemistry and Environmental Technology
